Fourteen - portraits.

Sometimes creativity is born from simplicity. We have fun.

Thirteen - morning.

Jackie. Door County, '09. Olympus E-410. PS CS2.

I find that working with black and white photos is sometimes harder than working with those in color. If the lighting is perfect, as it is shortly after daybreak, it makes it easier.

I feel as though all the elements came together to make this picture the way it ended up: awesome.

Eleven - tires.

Kecia. Minneapolis, '10. Olympus E-410. PS CS2.

This is one of the funniest shoots I think I've ever participated in. I seriously love those tires.

Ten - sugar.

Sarah. Minneapolis, '10. Olympus E-410. PS CS2. Vodka.

ANTM inspired, aided by vodka, Sarah avoids eye contact with the camera but pulls off four different looks - wondrous, aloof, thoughtful, and contemplative. (Those last two may sound the same, but they're not -- failed only by my vocabulary.)

Nine - wife, part 2.

Jackie. Door County, '09. Olympus E-410. PS CS2.

It's tricky shooting someone who doesn't think they're a model. It's trickier shooting a fellow photographer. It started off rocky, but many shoots do, and they produce amazing results. Just gotta find the space between model and photographer, where you hit your stride and sync up. Don't tell me you're not a model, Jack, this is stuff of legends.

Patience, dear readers. I'm getting sick of posting old photoshoots as well, but I'll be shooting a bit next week so there's some good stuff a-comin'.

Eight - tribute.

Kecia. Minneapolis, '08. Olympus E-410. PS 7.0

Once upon a time, I decided to pay tribute to my very favorite photographer ever, George Hurrell. To capture drama, who do you shoot? An actress, of course.
